Notification rules
Admin-side notification rules, digest frequency, and which events trigger notifications organization-wide.
Notification rules define which system-level events generate notifications and how they are delivered. These are organization-wide settings, managed at Admin → Notification rules.
How admin rules relate to user settings
Admin rules set the ceiling. If an admin rule disables a notification type, users cannot re-enable it. If admin rules allow it, individual users can still turn it off for themselves in Settings → Alerts.
Events that can trigger notifications
- Activity assigned — a member is set as the responsible person on an ERP activity.
- Activity edited — title, date, or status changes on a watched activity.
- Comment added — a comment is posted on a watched activity.
- Booking received — someone books a slot via a booking page in the account.
- Booking cancelled — a confirmed booking is cancelled.
- Upcoming event — a reminder before a scheduled event starts.
- Sync error — a calendar connection fails to sync and requires attention.
Delivery and digest
Each notification type can be delivered as:
- Immediate — sent as soon as the event occurs.
- Digest — batched with other notifications and sent at a scheduled interval.
Digest frequency options: hourly, twice daily, or daily. One digest email covers all digest-mode notifications from the same period.
Sync error notifications are always sent immediately regardless of digest settings.
Disabling a notification type account-wide
Toggle the switch next to any notification type to disable it for all users. This is useful during bulk imports or migrations where high volumes of "activity assigned" or "activity edited" events would otherwise flood everyone's inboxes.
